Four hectares of olive cultivation and 1000 trees. The varieties grown are the typical traditional Sardinian cultivars, in particular: Bosana, Tonda di Cagliari(typical of the Campidano area), Pizz’e Carroga (lit. “crow’s beak” for the elongated and curved core) and Semidana.
Our “Cartesio ” oil comes from the Bosana cultivar. This medium-late cultivar, very productive, is in fact traditionally used for the extraction of oil and can give good yields and excellent characteristics to the product, rich in polyphenols.
Harvest period: October – November
Collection method: Combing. The branches of the trees are combed through special tools (rakes) that allow the olives (or drupes) to fall on the ground and be collected.
